Anna is Chair of Signing Banks UK, supporting its work to improve access to banking and financial services for d/Deaf customers, BSL users and the wider deaf community.
Anna has spent much of her career working at the intersection of financial services, regulation, consumer outcomes and inclusion. She is a member of the FCA’s Financial Services Consumer Panel, where she provides independent advice and challenge to the FCA from a consumer perspective, and was previously Deputy Chief Executive at the Lending Standards Board.
At the LSB, Anna led work focused on raising standards across banking and lending, including insight and research into the barriers customers face when accessing financial services. This included the LSB’s report Access for d/Deaf customers in Banking & Credit, which highlighted the experiences of d/Deaf customers and helped drive positive engagement from banks and lenders on accessibility and inclusion.
Anna brings to Signing Banks UK a strong understanding of financial services regulation, risk, compliance and customer outcomes, alongside a personal commitment to practical, collaborative change. She is particularly focused on ensuring that deaf inclusion is treated not as an optional extra, but as a core part of good customer service and fair access to financial services.
