Damian is National Training and Consultancy Manager at the British Deaf Association. Deaf himself and from a deaf family, he is bilingual in BSL and English and has worked with deaf people for more than 30 years, including as a national adviser on deaf issues and in deaf education and care. He helped set up Deaf Rainbow, the deaf LGBT charity, holds a Masters in Public Health, and sits on the UK Government's BSL Advisory Board (2025 to 2028).
